The Indus system-

The Ganga system-
it is 2525 km long which 1450 came in Uttarakhand Uttar Pradesh 520 km in West Bengal and 445 kilometre in Bihar
The mainstream is constituted of two main rivers Like Bhagirathi and Alaknanda these two rivers combined at Devprayag to form Ganga
Before alakananda meet Bhagirathi at devaprayag Mandakini needs alakananda at Rudraprayag
Source of these rivers are Bhagirathi from Gomukh alakananda from Badrinath Mandakini from Kedarnath and all these rivers from Uttarakhand
Yamuna which age 1375 km it is the most important tributary of Ganga
It is Rises from Yamunotri Glacier in Uttarakhand
Important tributaries of Yamuna are Chambal 1050 km batawa 480 km and Ken
The Brahmaputra system-
this river has total length of 2900 kilometre it rises in Tibet from chemayungdung Glacier where it is called tsangpo
And enter the Indian territory inurture Pradesh
Important tributaries of Brahmaputra is subansiri cameng Dhansiri Manas and teesta
In Bangladesh Brahmaputra is known by the name of Jamuna valigonda gets
the name Padma
The combined string of Ganga and Brahmaputra forms the biggest delta in the world the Sundarbans covering an area of 58752 square kilometre its major part is in Bangladesh
On Brahmaputra is the river Island Majuli in Assam the biggest river island in the world
Rivers of the peninsula-
